Stupid WordPress…
WordPress comments are so damned ugly, but the Facebook comments plugin looks all borked. Every post says “no comments” even when there are (the plugin is supposed to count them), I don’t get any notifications of comments unless it’s in a reply to MY comment (so if I don’t respond, it’s probably because I don’t know it’s there), and if there are no comments this ugly yellow error message shows there saying I need to add a href, but I have no idea wtf or where it’s talking about. buhhhhh
And I STILL can’t get the gallery lightbox to work. I think I need to change gallery software entirely, NextGen is a piece of shit, which is why I rarely upload stuff here anymore. BUHHHHH
Maybe some of this has to do with the fact that I haven’t reworked the theme since several WP versions ago? This is definitely not my field of expertise. :(

I can’t wait for this weekend. Time is absolutely crawling. I’m all shivery and tense. It’s like looking forward to a delicious dessert after being on a diet of dork for half a year.
Mutual respect and admiration is a wonderful thing. And he’s already coming out again around my birthday and again over New Year’s eve. :)
Unrelated – wish I knew why the fuck my Lightbox isn’t working on images, and why the font in my Galleries is all big and fucked up. I had to do a bunch of shit to get this site running smoothly recently, and a couple things seem to have changed and I can’t figure out wtf is doing it. The two things are not related, but they are both bothering me! If anyone has a suggestion, I’d be appreciative. I’m using the NextGen Gallery plugin, but I think the font issue is something in my theme.

Couple site changes
You may have noticed that I don’t really keep up with this site very often. As much as I’d like to, I’m prone to post things in a semi-protected environment like Facebook rather than a fully-public place like this site. That said, I’ve yanked the forum, because even though it was cute I’m just NEVER going to spend any time on it, and as a result it’ll pretty much languish. RIP Vomitorium.
Also, my site has been lagging like a motherfucker but I couldn’t be bothered to fix it. I just went through and did a fairly major clean up of the database, where errant plugins had created some really huge tables. I also did a “minify” on the site, and it’s running much much MUCH faster now.
My trip to Kiev/Chernobyl and Estonia begins on October 13th, though, so I think it’s safe to say that there’ll be a ton of updates around then…
Some BD Updates
Did a quick overhaul of the BD backend UI and cleaned up the design a bit. The font on the Galleries page is still ridiculously big…but I don’t know CSS so I’m sort of at a lost since the font size is normal elsewhere 
I also re-added the old Vomitorium forum, in a mini incarnation. Have at it. As ever, everything goes except for people’s personal information. NO POWER WORDS.
I’ll redo the image at the top and do some tweaks tomorrow. But it’s nearly noon and I haven’t slept yet, so all that is just gonna have to wait. I welcome your feedback and bug reports, as ever.
